smile
This is me.
telling the world how two-faced am i.
For a very moody personality, I can switch my moods on and off just like that! With reasons, of course.
When I'm at home being me... I take all out in the laundry basket and switched to comfy pyjamas. Ergo, the overly sensitive yours truly.
My fake smiles have been punk'd out.
They're clearly see-through from everyone's eyes.
Maybe insincerity caused it to look weird to someone else's eyes. Them stares so judgemental, I always thought.
Perhaps, 'tis my eyes need to be fixed.
People see. People feel.
Your sincerity.
and I just don't deliver. Never did.
Maybe today she's the only one has said it out loud?
Your cover has been blown.
Maybe it's time to learn about being sincere?
Tapi, all in my head tells me to leave.
It's time to leave.
to a place where numbers and mute silence are around.
Give the people-person character to another candidate. For mine is already worn out.
It's a temp job.
Forme.
And it's all started with a smile.
or lack there of.
Then comes reality. Then comes sincerity.
The only thing that comes between them
is me.
As if I'm homer swinging between rock and a hard place that is reality and sincerity.
Words are just a ploy.
To make a good of myself.
Ja, Whatchu gonna do?

We all make choices. What's yours?
L'ultimo bacio
Kim: The world's moving so fast now and we're all chasing something so fast now that we start freaking out way before our parents did.
We dont ever stop to breathe anymore.
Michael: Just been thinking about my life lately, and everything feels pretty planned out, you know.
It's like i know everything thats going to happen.
There are no more surprises.
Kim: so what do you do?
Michael: complain, I guess.
"You cant fail if you don't give up"
The Last Kiss is a remake of Italian movie L'ultimo bacio. After Garden State, i'd be expecting as much from Zach Braff. They're all quite.. err, depressing. Although both of 'em tell us aboutthe hurdles in life really are about. The honest truth.
The ending was never a disappointment. Although it seems like a happy ending but when I remember it again... both the ending (red: Garden State and The Last Kiss) are seen as "the new beginning" instead of "happily ever after".
It's more realistic, don't you think?
Zach Braff as the lead actor always played the man with a lot of deep thoughts. Be it necessary or unnecessary ones. In Last Kiss, he is a 29 year old man having second thought about settling down. Sorta a pin-point, doesnt it? when the number reach the big three. I thought when we reached the legal age of twenty-one, we were asked to mature and act as our age and stop fooling around.
I guess thats just the Asian in me.
Twenty-one is the beginning, prolly for most of 'em out there. Thats when you start all the "legal" fun. That'll turn around when the number reach thirty. It's when you are obligated to really act your age and be mature.
The movie tells us similar to that... well, er, from men's point of view.
The time to settle down. and that'll be it.
What's the word?
Cold-feet. Yeah thats it.
He was too scared to move on to a new beginning and instead, began to find different alternative. A more fun alternative. Refusing to settle down and take responsibilities and be grateful to what life has given him.
The midlife "crises" are what they're called.
For Michael, he ended up to defeat his "crises" and made a jump on his life, facing his future.
As I said, It's not just about a happy ending. It's the new beginning.
There scenes that tell you most about the movie set out clearly in two different slots.
1. Kim and Michael at the Tree House
That's Michael... and his life.
It's a pretty straightforward movie, after all. Prolly the original is sexier given the "italian-made" trademark. Ha!

InStyle says MIKA. I say MIKA. You say?
damn you bitches, It's MIKA 'course!
I dont care if hes gay. Well, the looks and his dancing give that away. He reminds me of a past memory. Lucu, Love Today is on Myspace playlist too. You like him, don't you? since you both are much alike. he he. I'm creating my own illusory world too, you know. Worse comes to worst, delusion is what it may bring. HAHA.
Ah, "Wha-ever". The trademark.
on being in love.
tentang dia yg lagi jatuh cinta? sangatlah menarik.
ternyata lelaki sekomunis apapun otaknya, senarsis apapun sifatnya, sejahanam apapun tingkahnya.. tetep terkapar juga karena cinta. bahasa pun mendayu2 kemakan cinta.
and hes very blunt about it too.
It's a different view from here I see. That dark gloomy wall you've been trying hard to build, just cracked down with a flip of a hand. Thanks to your newfound love.
Jealousy knocks on my door.
It's not him. It's the feeling.
ah kamu.
it seems life's complete on your agenda.
are you not yet satisfied?
I wonder that.

.....through blogging.
it's a funny thing really. the blogging world.
People can go infamous just because his/her blogs jadi tempat kunjungan rutin. You know these people, but you don't really know 'em for real. Their most inner-thoughts are well-written in poems and rhymes and witty words. They know nothing of the other persons who walked-in to their secret chambers. Yet, these bloggers don't mind sharing with us, the unknown others.
Here I am, a living proof.
Knowing you, but not really "know" you.
I instantly recognizes that it's You.
You walked in through that gate this afternoon with your "weird" goatee and slightly shabby hair. Unknowingly a stranger knows You only by words and phrases.
Blogging gives us that. the media to being known.

Hi, You.
It's fun to see you, in the flesh.

jeux d'enfants
Jeux d'enfants or Children's games or Love me if you dare, is another frenchy pick for tonight. masih dalam masa2 post-MIFF (melbourne international film festival), the atmosphere is still so "hollywouldn't".
The movie tells you the story of Sophie and Julien, and how they got into the mishaps of life by playing games with their life. Or so thats how i see it.
It begins with a carousel-pictured tin stuck on a concrete. The story revolves around it. you can say, the tin is their lives. Started at a very young age of 8 years old, Julien met Sophie the newbie in town (and school) being bullied. As a nice boy that he was, he cheered her up by giving her the carousel tin. "But you have to lend it to me sometimes" He said. Sophie replied, and this is where the story (really) began, "if you want it back, you have to earn it". It's the truth or dare ploy, but without the "truth" ever being played.
The dares they played always immense along with their age. In between, love grew. As if love isn't already twisted enough, Julien and Sophie "game or no game" act made it more complex.
Julien and Sophie trapped in their own game and in a disturbing way, they're enjoying it. It becomes the challenge in their lives. Tanpanya, kehidupan ini hanyalah suatu perjalanan yang sangat panjang dan membosankan.
The "dare of dares" concludes their winding love story, but not the end of the jeux d'enfants (children's games).
The movie falls into the romantic comedy genre. Surprisingly, the comedy only came few bits at the beginning (i love the "slap the gym teacher" dare! effin funny to see the teacher's face bullied by his students! total cracker!). I dare say, there's no romanticism whatsoever in the movie. Their love story is too psychopathic to follow. It's very unrealistic for a typical happy-ever-after tale.. Pastinya... sangat tidak Amerika.
and the second last scene of the movie is a bit off. the "buried us alive in a concrete cement" is quite disturbing and not quite get the message out. Why's the scene have to exist??
I'm torn between love or loath this movie. I like the first half of it, but story gets complicated when came the realization to the meaning of adulthood. That's when the love story kicked in... and that's when it get confusing.
Even Sophie said: "Love me... Is it just a game for you?"

The Phantom is here.
The phantom of the opera has come to Melbourne. I saw the show today at Princess Theater, Spring St. It's the second time I watched The Phantom. The first was in Las Vegas.
Melbourne show was also spectacular as the one I saw in LV. Sayangnya, princess theater terlalu kecil untuk menampung kegelapan phantom. the chandelier juga tidak menari dengan leluasa seperti teater di Paris Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas. Yeah, we lack extraordinaire theater. Regardless, the performance was beautifully done.
Although my seat was irritating as hell. with the tall pillar blocking my view!
The songs are very enchanting. All I ask of you is my best pick. Raoul and Christine had the chemistry when they sung it. It is as if I'm watching the corniest love story with the roof-top scenery and i'll-die-for-you theme. ::hehe:: but nothing corny about the phantom of the opera, 'course.
The youtube taken from Phantom of the Opera movie.
Melbourne's Raoul is more good-looking than the movie Raoul. You know, FYI.
and sadly to see that the movie version doesn't have the scene where Raoul put his arms on Christine's shoulders and they started swinging side to side. Aduh, susah jelasinnya, you have to see it yourself. But that scene was really beautiful! I loved it. At first, I thought "ewh, how cheesy", but then, when the song started to rise up, the hugging doesnt seem corny at all. I loved it, in fact.
About the phantom.
Jujur aja, phantom melbourne kurang menarik hati. Di bayangan gue Phantom itu seorang yang fragile, insecure, dan sangat posesif ke Christine. Oh, dan dia seorang yang lebih tua dari Christine. Slightly younger than Christine's dad but much older than Christine herself. Tapi sepertinya fisik yang cocok memerankan Phantom cuma terlihat di panggung Las Vegas. Uh, sangat disayangkan gue gak melihat act broadwaynya, Where the real musicals come to life.
Phantom yang aku lihat kemaren, untuk seorang phantom yang fragile dan sedikit "gila", dia terlalu energetic dan aktif. kasarnya, petakilan banget! ::hehehe:: Tapi nyanyiannya book. suaranya jernih sejernih evian. halah apa sih!
The music will somewhat give you goosebumps along with the darkness of the Phantom's theater. All in all, Christine's voice can give you shivers. Raoul's good-looks (hehe) and undying love for Christine can make you die of envy. last but not least, the phantom's dark life and angelic (uh, er?) voice steal the show.

the mystery behind "G" and "9"
first off, i copied this from an fs page (maaf ya, nyolong)
"9w T'giLa" supErnoVa.
Tapi 9w 9a b'Harap."
I have no idea why s/he can't just type G in replace for a 9! it's a fucking NUMBER NINE not the LETTER G! When writing UpS and DoWnS like this isn't yet forgiven, now these so-called "anak gaul" in todays teens write too many typos. It's ridiculously insane to grasp their ways to good literature. What's funny is that when I was their age, apparently, my writings are pretty much the like. *grin* It's more widespread now with the internet literacy rising high. New year, new breeds of teens. These things (cara menulis gaul) would never end. I guess it's time to take a deep breath (really2 deeeep breath!) and let it go, or teach 'em the right lessons!
So, that's that

What really happened after that nineteen years....
Rowling also shared with fans, many of whom said they'd read the final book several times in the last week, where she imagines their favourite wizards and witches went after the series' conclusion.
Rowling said the world was a sunnier, happier place after the seventh book and the death of Voldemort.
Harry Potter, who always voiced a desire to become an Auror, or someone who fights dark wizards, was named head of the Auror Department under the new wizarding government headed by his friend and ally, Kingsley Shacklebolt.
His wife, Ginny Weasley, stuck with her athletic career, playing for the Holyhead Harpies, the all-female Quidditch team. Eventually, Ginny left the team to raise their three children - James, Albus, and Lily - while writing as the senior Quidditch correspondent for the wizarding newspaper, the Daily Prophet.
Harry's best friend Ron Weasley joined his brother, George, as a partner at their successful joke shop Weasley's Wizard Wheezes. Hermione Granger, Ron's wife and the third leg of the series' dark wizard fighting trio, furthered the rights of subjugated creatures, such as house-elves, in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures before joining the magical law enforcement squad. The couple had two children - Rose and Hugo.
Luna Lovegood, Harry's airily distracted friend with a love for imaginary animals who joins the fight against Voldemort in the Order of the Phoenix, becomes a famous wizarding naturalist who eventually marries the grandson of Newt Scamander, author of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Australia's hit by a serious drought!
no no.. with this one we don't need to restrict our water usage.
Aussie's facing a serious man drought.
Yes. Aussie is lacking eligible single men of thirty-something.
Although the matter's not entirely original, since it has been on the news about a year ago. However, statistics this year have flare it with facts.
"The "man drought" was revealed in a report by accounting firm KPMG, whose analysis of official statistics showed a widening gap between the sexes in Australia.
In every age group between 29 and 55, women outnumbered men. The hardest hit was the generation in their 30s, where there were 20,000 more women than men — a stark contrast to 1976 when there were 54,000 more men than women. More..."
A year ago, Today Tonight presented the news to help single women of thirty-something to find the "One". This year, when statistics have shown the horrid proof, the nation is on full alert for the Bridget Jones complex. You see, women who are desperate to settle down are more scarier for the nation compared to Dr. Haneef's accusation. ::LOL - joke okee joke::
Given the situation, the benefit falls on the Men side. Hence why women are getting hitched overseas.
"When the numbers turn the other way men realise they don't have to commit and get to play the field and the numbers are allowing them to get away with it." They said it better than I did. Although the same I've said before.
Funnily enough, the country is almost packed because of migrations from many countries. yet, Aussie's still lacking people?! The laws not make it easier to migrate here as well. When Government currently encouraging women to settle down and start a family. Answer this, how they are to do that when all the eligible single men are hiding in God-knows-where.
This situation might not be happening in Asia, or at least not in Indonesia, I spose. Given the rate of population growth is rising and the men and women are of equal statistics. Or maybe, in Indo we count polygamy in the statistics? causing unequal statistics of men and women to become equal? confused? hehe I'm beginning to.
i feel sorry for Australia though.
They're facing the never-ending drought caused by climate change, now came in man-drought as well? Halah. what is it with Aussie and drought?
Serasa di anak tirikan.
Udah benua paling nyempil di bawah, iklim menggenaskan, populasi seret, dan jumlah lelaki berpotensi pun dikalkulasikan menyurut.
disaat begini, i'm glad i'm Indonesian.

wayward mind
the past weeks have been living in zombie phase. you say to push yourself to the limit. embrace your weakness to become your strength, which means, to twist your mind and attitude to be different than usual. if you can pull it off, you gain the better you.
But what if, the opposite happens? it's like living a limbo. Everything just so confused and awkward. Fake smiles are just about few hundreds to giveaway. When it's lapsed the expiry date, there's no motivation or strengths left to go for another round. The verbal words are limited for the socially awkward crowd. The first step has been taken years ago, there's no turning back. What will happen then?
It is said earlier that whinge-fest is about to happen. well, it's happening.
It mustn't continue, but how?
Even the zombie phase is on its peak. Nothing but a happy mode to twist this mood around. But to get to that... is nothing but a long winding road to drive through. There's an old saying, Where there is smoke there is fire. You see, all we need now is just the fire for a head start.
Let's lit that torch, then.
easier to say than done.
