Brondong panas. permisi permisi!!

Check this boy out!! he's one of the finalist of Aussie Idol 2007. Matt Corby.
Guess how old he is.

Hes just a mere sixteen year old!! SIX-BLOODY-TEEN?!?!
Garsh made me feel damn old but still uh-uh-gaga for this one hella hot young dude.

He caught the audience (and judges) attention from day 1, ie. the audition.
Not just he got the looks, the style, but also the talent.
His choice of music is older than his age.
He chose stevie's superstitious for audition, challenged himself for a led zeppelin's rock pick and touchdowned of dance tune from earth, wind and fire.
What's cool is that he already has his own style. Emo with a touch of arabian scarf! Hot with a hint of quirkiness. fashion touchdown? haha cheeky.

Matt knows his audience.
and he deliver.

is it just good looks?
or talent plays a role?

Well, to me he's gonna go a long way in the competition for both reasons.

Aaah! imma sucker for reality tv shows.
Idol should be grateful having Dicko back on that judges seat! if not for him, I wouldnt even get a glimpse of Idol this year.

Hating Kyle, as always.
Dicko's already in, why not kicked kyle off the seat?? He's such an eyesore!

blargh useless talk about the judges.

Back to Matt.

He has all the ticks for being a pop-icon.
Maybe the next dean geyer?
Whoa... ya ya ya, his genre falls right into dean's market.
pop/rock, good looks, cheeky smile, skinny jeans & leather jacket style.

Just hope he'll get a label deal when off the idol competition.
Ergo we can see how he competes in the real world.

on thing.s.

the past two days... been listening to cheesy pop songs. Know Jesse Mccartney? Yeah, Him included! and don't forget Britney. Halah! Any reason? I see none.

Check this!
It's awesome.

Makes me wanna dance. Although I have zilch coordination. HA!
I always wonder why the ladies often wear skimpy dresses if not for the hip-hop pick. Hip Hop style tends to be more... ghetto(?) whatever that means. Otherwise, skin is fashion. All the ladies contestants always show off their body by "stripping" on stage. Use as little as much of cloth hanging on to your body, is prolly good for dance movement? You tell me.

on real life update:
I might going north this time.
It's a stranger's island to me as I've lived most of my time in south east.
Maybe different is good?
Aah! pusing pusing.
Property prices are a kill! Rental's really ripping me off this time of year.
the hunting starts today.
hateful.

The almighty networking

Friendster..

Facebook.....
Multiply.......
Myspace.

We own them. We have account on each of them.
from an innocent "networking" to invasion of privacy.
Myspace and facebook have already made their debut in primetime news and a day in court. (well, more than a day)
but we still own and cherish them accordingly.

heck, I have account on all of them!

Each of 'em have their own specific target market. I still can't figure out why Facebook and Myspace are more widespread than the other two (MP and FS). Here, people barely know about Friendster, let alone Multiply.

We Asians here always say, "buleys go to myspace, Indos (and other asians, not ABCs) go to Friendster. It's just common knowledge". So!! if you wanna stalk someone online, check his/her race first. Buleys? go to myspace. *Wink* LOL Myspace has a better method for stalking online. That, if the person intentionally put their full name on the account. Voila! Their life updates are for these eyes to read! ;)

On this page you see a different side of this person. Same goes for Friendster, facebook and Multiply. To the outside world we often behave to what society sees appropriate, however, the networking tools as such allows our private life made open for public. Intinya, jaim lo ilang di mata publik! =D with exception to those who really are nice inside out --personality-wise. (there are nice people out there, ya know!)

It's a good networking tool, yes true. You'd find some old friends (and flings) coming out of the blue. Thats more precious than say.. stalking online or dating online. But bear in mind, things said publicly may get back at ya later.

having said that, my own things are published online as well.
The Internet isn't a safe playground.
Not that have I dealt with sickos online before, but stories are pretty much around and they're disturbing enough.

anyway,
People nowdays are addicted to Facebook. I have no idea why.
To me, it's full of crap!

Myspace, OK you got music out of it.
Friendster? well, networking only.
Multiply... talent show-off is included.
Facebook? if you have lotsa spare times to kill, log on. You'll numb your brains out.

All in all, these four pretty much alike.
They're started from a simple social networking tool.
Believe it or not, the root is of a dating site such as matchmaking.com.au.
That's what I've heard.

So, the purpose of these networking sites is first for dating. Ergo, gak salah dong if people "misuse" them for stalking online? The extreme part of dating.

The creators of these sites must get rich instantly. Oh how I envy them --the rich part, not getting sued. =D

when new social networking site coming up, count me in! ^^
trick is, be safe not to publish everything honestly, online!

update:
only been a day, another site is found.

infotainment pagi

mo nulis gak penting, boleh ya?
(kyk sblomnya ada yg penting aja! :p)

Kamis pagi, menunggu subuh.
itunes tercinta shuffling seenaknya dari 4000-ish kumpulan lagu yang udah melebihi kapasitas itu. It goes from newly downloaded White Plain T's to Britney Spears. Yes, a very old tune of Ms. Spears. Back when she was this innocent girl.

Honestly, I like her tunes when she was just baby, one more time. Her so-called adulthood phase is terrifying. At some point, i feel sorry for her. I mean, as we all are to the holly tinseltown's assets is to judge and bitch about, Ms. Spears is of course no exception. Here I am, in a slightly mellow tone of judgement, can honestly say that the current exposé of Ms. Spears is too much of a white trash celeb. Well, at least she made it to become the current courtney love. Pitty, instead infamously achieved the title for being the widowed of a famous musician-who-ODed-but-insanely-talented, Ms. spears only earned her title for being married to a hardcore loser Mr. Kevin Federline. Pitty, such a pitty, indeed.

Some people would still expect her to be reunited to her baby-love, Justin Timberlake. I, personally, would scream of disagreement. Well, on second thought, if JT would ever got OD-ed (**knock of wood**), then Ms. Spears would earn her glorious achievement for being the new-age of Courtney Love. I don't think JT would ever want to be reunited with Britney thou. Would he, now? That'll be a shock if he would.

I hear, shes making a comeback.
What will be her choice of music. She should go for ballad. Will that still work on her? too bad her voice isn't strong enough.

err... i wrote quite a long page just to bicker on one person, don't I?
Pagi2, subuh gini, bulan Ramadhan, boleh gak sih? hmm..
in my defense, as always, any reason to bitch about everything Hollywood is forgivable. Nggak, Ya? =D

Maybe next time I'll make a page of Paris. Hilton, that is. HA!

Alrighty, up we go.
Fajr Prayer starts.

hehehe cheeky.

time to leave

after 3 years, it's time to leave.
many memories are marked on every wall, every corner, every room.
i just don't know if i could take the first step.
is it time to leave,
or time to begin?

'til we meet again, on Wells.

Young Sally: He will hear my call a mile away, he will whistle my favourite song, he can ride a pony backwards-

Young Gilly: What are you doing?

Young Sally: I'm summoning up a true love spell called Amas Spiritas, he can flip pancakes in the air, he will be marvellously kind, and his favourite shape will be a star. And he'll have one green eye, one blue.

Young Gilly: I thought you never wanted to fall in love.

Young Sally: That's the point. The guy I dreamed up doesn't exist, and if he doesn't exist, I'll never die of a broken heart.

愛 ~ Love according to Lil' Sally. It's just A Practical Magic. Ja, what Amas Spiritas you'd like to summon?

pointless whinging

The word don't etched in mind. It happened! Finally in black and white, the black list has been encrypted. The name's on top the list.

Feelings run amok!
All reasoning have no meaning.

The word leave is highlighted, but does it become the act of running away?
A second there, hatred embraced. To whom is not yet clear.

Ya know, when the thing you concern most is written in bold caption and for public to see, then whatchu gonna do?

Cry and weep,
angry and mourn,
pasrah and move on,
or revolt?!

My heart tells me to go, leave!
just to hell with them.

You'd say, running away again are we?
When you do realized, you're running out of space to run.

Ah! those fuckers be damned!

Is just another entry of pointless whinging.

Random Entry

The days been extremely mundane.
for a not so much of a party-goer, nothing much can be done.
no hitting the clubs, cruisin' the bars on weekend, or just a wild night-out on the town. emphasize on the word, no.

work, is just work. this and that. the same shit everyday.

you know what i always wanted to do? at least, try to do. photography. cuma jepret sana. jepret sini. sok artistik, padahal 70% faktor lokasi yang memang udah indah untuk di dokumentasikan.

lalu berlanjut dengan keinginan untuk bisa nulis. you know, creative writing. not for publicity, just for personal pleasure.

and wanna know what's more exciting? to learn japanese and/or french. Bonjour!
I took a Nihongo 1 short course a while back at Uni. It was fun! to learn new words and writings. Unfortunately, now they're all gone. Couldn't remember a single hiragana. what a waste. Now, I'd like to try again. To learn new words and phrases.

Sayangnya, short course for these subjects are not quite affordable. They're frikken pricey ya know! Self-learning? there's no such determination as yet. =D

Sometimes I have lotsa wants, but never act on any.
What does that make me?

Oh well.
on an entirely different note,
Ramadhan is here.
Time of the year when I miss Jakarta more than ever.
It's like party party party in one whole month!

Senandung Ramadhan pun terdengar dimanapun kita melangkah.
Indahnya..

uuhh, kangen.

eh kamu!! aku iri dengan acara buka puasa kalian di plaza semanggi nanti! huh! Ikut!!

my autumn journey

"the journey began at San Francisco, then road-tripping to LA and spent the weekend in Las Vegas. after that, up the miles to New York City!!
Left the states and down to the hectic Asia city, Tokyo."

Now i know what uncle sam really looks like and how sushi supposed to taste. speaking of sushi, japan is a whole different story.

the eccentricity is what makes it gorgeous.
I feel nothing while walking at times square but my eyes froze when I looked down at shibuya's crosspaths.

sorrento

The seaside village of Sorrento is one of the most popular and well-known holiday escapes on the Mornington Peninsula. Most of Sorrento’s attractions are within walking distance and the town has earned acclaim for its fine buildings, many made from local limestone giving them a unique character. Impressive hotels, excellent eateries, sidewalk cafes, boutiques, galleries and specialist shops add extra appeal to the Sorrento experience.

The gentle front beach is an ideal place to wile away some time, have a picnic, go for a stroll, take a cooling swim or keep watch for wild bottlenose dolphins which frolic in the clean bay waters. For some surf-pounding action, the back beach on the Bass Strait side of the peninsula is close by. Sorrento offers a long list of other recreational opportunities, including golf, bushwalking, sailing, scuba diving, fishing and boating. taken from here

sydney week-away!

the forum on saturday night

The Forum Melbourne presents: Katie Noonan - Skin!

**above clip taken from earlier gig at the Metro in Sydney. I didn't record that night's gig at the Forum. But Sydney's pretty much alike so a memory is already well documented anyway. Katie was amazing, as always. Her music and vocals are very soothing. Although I'm not quite satisfied in terms... well, let's put it this way, I like her better with George. During the 2 hours gig, my mind wandered off for almost half the night. If not for Mr. Percival, I'd fall asleep. I know, it's a horrid truth for any musicians to get first impression as such from their audience. It could be from the fact that I don't quite know Katie Noonan's first solo album and only familiar with her George's tunes. Atau memang dengerin Katie Noonan cocoknya dirumah sambil ngerenung2 gak penting? Saying that, it feels as though her music is a bit... insignificant?
She did a "tribute" of the song Crazy by Gnarls Barkley. Awesome! I found a youtube of it, but not quite the same as the one she sang at the Forum.**

oh! the opening act.
Mr. Percival.
How cool was he? All the looping vocal pedal-y thingy. Ah, so very sophisticated are you to explain, dear. Here's better:
"Some people respond to art by challenging and transforming the mainstream culture. Mr.Percival isn't what you expect. There are few artists who live in their instrument. Literally. A single voice, multiplied to an ensemble via the magic of a looping pedal, Mr.Percival creates a world of music and sound. His vocal origami ranges from the tribal sounds of 'Down In Africa' to the dirty, hip-grinding groove of 'Brown Sugar'. Mr.Percival is an engaging, enigmatic performer taking the audience on a vocal journey, exploring and creating musical landscapes. With his edgy wit and his laid back attitude the 'Out Of The Loop' show is unrestrained and fun. Really fun"

He surely did a warm up session for the audience, which created a more lively ambiance into the theater. The gig ended with Mr. percival back onto the stage and jam together with Katie. It was sensational. loved it!

Next gigs:
Sneaky Sound System and Missy Higgins.

Sayangnya I can't go cos the two gigs are on when I'll be in Indo next November-December. Blech.
